Try to smoke after swilling the mouthwash or spraying into the roof of the mouth and onto the tongue the effects of smoking are experienced anew in three stages :
- Stage 1. Inhale the smoke from a cigarette, (a long deep drag exaggerates the effect!). Exhale and after a few moments taste the roof of the mouth with the tongue. Most likely you will experience the taste of Benzene best described as a very bitter after taste. Benzene is more commonly known as petrol, a known carcinogen also associated with leukaemia and Hydrogen Cyanide (gas chamber poison).
- Stage 2. Dare to take another drag? After exhaling this time you begin to experience a new, tinny, metallic after taste, like copper. This is Formaldehyde and Acetone. More commonly known as embalming fluid and nail polish remover respectively.
- Stage 3. Around the 3rd to 4th puff the taste of Ammonia (toilet cleaner) and Arsenic (rat poison) which you can actually smell if you cup your hands over your face and blow the smoke into them becomes overbearing. The taste and smell is very distinctive, described by most as the smell of cats or cat pee!. This should be enough to override any craving you have for this cigarette, forcing you to put it out.
If you stop smoking the horrid taste will die down and go away fairly quickly. Continue smoking and it will simply get worse. Try smoking again 20 minutes later and yep, you guessed it you begin to taste what cigarette smoke contains all over again.
