Articles (Tobacco, Health)
Quit smoking articles, tobacco, health and related topics. "Tobacco use is a disorder which can be remedied through medical attention; therefore, it should be approached by health care providers just as other substance-use disorders are approached: with knowledge, understanding, and persistence."1
The "Treating Tobacco Use and Dependence: 2008 Update" provides smoking cessation guidelines that contain strategies and recommendations designed to assist clinicians; tobacco dependence treatment specialists; and health care administrators, insurers, and purchasers in delivering and supporting effective treatments for tobacco use and dependence (Fiore et al, 2008).
